Linehaul MAC Express (Private) Limited is a joint venture between MAC Holdings (Private) Limited, a market leader in Global Logistics, Total Transportation Solutions as well as Hospitality and Leisure Service Industry and Lenton Group, the exclusive worldwide Courier express GSA for Cathay Pacific Cargo and for Cathay Dragon. Linex has been in Sri Lanka since 2008 providing excellent courier services to the island.
JOB ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic, independent, and energetic person who excels in managing key financial stakeholders while fostering a strong sense of teamwork to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Preparing monthly accounts/ support to prepare Annual financial statements.
• Monitoring finance department’s daily transactions, monthly reconciliation and responsible for timely month end closure.
• Handling accounts receivables and follow-up.
• Maintaining fixed assets register.
• Tax return submission (VAT/SSCL/WHT).
• Checking all invoices and costs.
• To closely liaise with the bankers, IRD and auditors.
• To take up additional tasks when required, to meet with the company’s needs.
REQUIREMENT AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Accounting or Finance from a reputed university with part qualification in ICASL/ CIMA/ CMA/ACCA.
• Age below 35 years.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar capacity (as an assistant accountant).
• Experience in the freight forwarding sector would be an added advantage.
• Should possess excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
