Sri Lanka marked National Logistics Day 2025 with a renewed focus on building a resilient and future-ready logistics industry. The Sri Lanka Freight Forwarders’ Association (SLFFA), representing the backbone of the nation’s freight and logistics sector, underscored the importance of collaboration, innovation, and people-centric growth in shaping the industry’s next chapter.
Speaking on the occasion, SLFFA Vice Chairman, Mr. Andre Fernando, emphasized that the true strength of logistics lies beyond infrastructure and technology. “A modern logistics industry is not just built on infrastructure or technology—it’s built on people. As Vice Chairman, I see our greatest opportunity in human capital development and empowerment. Whether it’s large multinational operators or local SME freight forwarders, every contributor deserves equal opportunity and access to growth,” he said.
As the industry navigates global challenges and rising demand, SLFFA continues to position itself as a key driver of progress—fostering professional development, ensuring fair opportunities, and advocating for policies that strengthen Sri Lanka’s role as a vital logistics hub in the region.
