Currently functions as the Manager Legal and she is responsible for the entire Legal Operations and Secretarial functions of MAC Group of Companies.
Nimalie is a lawyer by profession and enrolled to the Bar in year 2007, on taking oaths as an Attorney at Law in the Supreme Court of Sri Lanka. With a demonstrated history of working in the corporate industry, she is skilled in Corporate Law, Civil Litigation, Legal Advice, Legal Assistance, General Commercial Agreements, and Legal Research.
She is a legal professional with a Bachellor of Laws (LLB) from University of Colombo & Master of Laws (LLM) focused in Commercial Law & Arbitration from University of West London. She counts 12+ years of experience as an Attorney-at-Law, Company Secretary and a Notary Public.
Having started her career in year 2005 at Varners, a leading Law Firm in the country as an apprentice and advanced herself as an Associate Lawyer in the said Law Firm. Thereafter she progressed her career at various commercial and regulatory entities including McLarens Holdings, Aviva NDB Insurance PLC (now known as AIA Insurance PLC), WNS Global Services, Colombo Stock Exchange and Nations Trust Bank PLC. Her last stint was at Fortude (Pvt) Ltd, as the Legal & Commercial Manger.
