Andre Fernando, Group Managing Director of MAC Holdings (Private) Limited and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Freight Forwarders Association, recently participated in the U.S. Forum on Indian Ocean Ports & Supply Chains held in Washington, D.C. from 1st to 5th June 2026.
The forum brought together key stakeholders from the maritime, logistics, and trade sectors, including the Deputy Minister of Ports and Shipping, the Governor of the Western Province, the Chairman of the Sri Lanka Ports Authority, and other industry leaders representing Colombo Port terminals.
The event served as an important platform to foster international collaboration, facilitate the exchange of industry insights, and showcase Sri Lanka’s strategic position as a leading maritime and logistics hub in the Indian Ocean region.
